The guarantee, in plain words.

Custom wallpaper cannot be returned, so the promises have to come first and they have to be specific. These are ours, including where they stop.

Smoothing a wallpaper panel onto the wall
Fit
You give us width and height. We turn them into panels. If the panels we printed do not match the numbers you gave us, we reprint the wall free and pay the shipping.

If the numbers you gave us were wrong, the reprint is charged at our cost, not the retail price, and we say what that cost is before you decide. Upload a photo of your tape measure at checkout and we check your numbers before printing; that catches most mistakes before they cost anything.
Free measurement review
Every mural order is checked by a person before it prints. Send two photos of your tape measure (width and height) on the thank-you page or at inchwall.com/tape; if the numbers and the photos disagree, we write to you before anything is cut. That review is free and it is why we can guarantee the fit.
Spare panel
Hanging goes wrong sometimes: a panel creases, tears on a corner, or gets trimmed short. On mural orders over $300 we reprint one panel free, once, no questions asked. Reply to your order email with the panel number within 30 days of delivery. Smaller orders get the same at production cost.
Color between batches
All panels for one wall print in one run on one roll, so they match. Reorders within 12 months are printed against the record of your first order; if the match is off, we reprint the panels that differ.

Removability of peel-and-stick, honestly

Our peel-and-stick fabric comes off without taking paint with it for 24 months when all four of these are true:

  • The wall is smooth drywall or plaster, not textured (orange peel, knockdown, popcorn).
  • The paint is eggshell, satin, semi-gloss or gloss. Flat and matte paints bond to the adhesive and can come off with it.
  • The paint is fully cured: at least 30 days since painting.
  • The room is not a steam room: bathrooms with showers and no fan are a risk.

If all four are true and removal still pulls paint, tell us within the 24 months with photos and we cover a painter for that wall, up to $150. If one of them is not true, peel-and-stick is the wrong product for that wall; choose the paste-the-wall non-woven instead, which is designed to be stripped and does not rely on a pressure adhesive. The calculator asks about the wall before you pay.

A wallpaper sample held against the wall

The cheapest test of your paint: stick the $5 peel-and-stick sample to the wall for a few days and peel it. Samples are credited back on the wall.

Wallpaper panels arriving rolled in a tube

If your measurements were off

Send us the two tape photos and we compare them with your numbers before anything prints. Up to 3 inches off on either side: we print the correct size and the price does not change; the bleed and the trimmed last panel absorb it. Clearly bigger: we send the corrected layout and price first, and you approve the difference or cancel for a full refund. Clearly smaller: we print the correct size and refund the difference. No photos: we print what you ordered, and the guarantee then covers our layout errors only. It is never a penalty for measuring wrong; it is the same price per square foot for the wall you actually have.

Would rather not measure at all? Send a photo of the wall and we do the numbers.

What this does not cover

  • Installation labor, ours or anyone else's.
  • Damage from walls that were not prepared as described above.
  • Screen-to-print color differences: order a $9 sample if the exact shade matters.

Panels arrive rolled in a 4-inch tube, numbered, with the overlap and bleed on the label. Unroll them flat for a few hours before hanging. Shipping and production times.
