Trellis, 1864

Morris's first wallpaper, with Philip Webb's birds. A dining room or a child's room that wants a garden on the wall and a story to tell about it.

After Trellis, William Morris's first wallpaper, 1864, with birds drawn by Philip Webb: climbing roses on a square wooden trellis. From a public-domain scan in The Met (CC0).
